Who´s behind Frozen Deckery? And do we really need another magic website?
Let me start from the beginning. Who am I and why should you care?
My name is André Westberg, and I live in a small town way up north in Sweden’s lovely country.
Magic has been a passion of mine since I was 12 years old and found The Magic Book by Harry Lorayne at my local library.
For a long time, I performed for friends and family. I always had an idea of one day “going pro,” but I never really had the courage to do so.
As I got older (and wiser), I took my doubts by the horns and forced myself to take on paid gigs. I learned more in those early gigs than I’ve learned over the past 20 years.
I only wish I started earlier.
I often think about what would have happened if I took on paid gigs in my early 20s.
That’s why I started Frozen Deckery. I want to help others grow their magic career. It doesn’t need to be going pro and take on paid gigs.
For some, growing in the art of magic means finding the courage to perform for strangers.
For others, it means finding the courage to perform at all.
I want Frozen Deckery to be a place for knowledge and inspiration. Together, we will explore the wonderful world of close-up conjuring.
You will not find many new tricks here. My focus will be on the theory of magic and how to grow a magician’s business.
I want us to grow as performers, and to do so, I believe in studying theory. I think we all know enough tricks.
I hope you will like it here.

By the way, the name Frozen Deckery comes from Harry Loraynes Apocalypse. Michael Ammar published a trick called Frozen Deckery back in 1980.
Both Ammar and Lorayne have been great inspirations for me, so in honor of them, I picked the name Frozen Deckery.
I also think too many magicians suffer from Frozen Deckery Syndrome. That irritating feeling of wanting to perform more, but not having the guts to do so…
I want to help you get unfrozen.
